OPG Certification Cycles

The following illustrations represent OPG’s overall certification cycles.

There are different variable scenarios an organization could be in depending on where they are at in their certification journey.

INITIAL CERTIFICATION

 

 

  • No prior certification or currently holds/held non-accredited certification (Initial Certification Cycle)

RECERTIFICATION

 

 

  • Returning client who currently holds accredited certification from OPG Certs (Recertification Cycle)

TRANSFER

 

  • Currently holds accredited certification from another registrar (Transfer Certification Cycle)
    • Organizations that are currently certified with another registrar looking to work with OPG Certs are able to undergo a transfer certification at any point in the certification life cycle. After evaluation and validation for eligibility, OPG Certification services is able to pick up where your previous registrar left off (following last completed audit activity) as depicted in the transfer cycle image.
